Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Crisson Construction Ltd, based in Southampton Parish, Bermuda. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and repairing a diverse range of land and marine construction equipment, vehicles, and tools to the highest standard.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect, diagnose, and repair heavy machinery, vehicles, and tools, including cranes, boats, tugs, backhoes, trucks, and generators.Conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues, including marine electrical systems.Perform fault diagnostics and repairs for diesel and gas construction equipment and vehicles.Operate oxy, electric, TIG, and MIG welding tools for repairs and fabrication.Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth workflows and equipment reliability.Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and promote a culture of safety across the team.RequirementsProven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with at least 8 years of relevant work experienceExpertise in servicing and maintaining a wide range of construction and marine equipment, including cranes, boats, tugs, and trucksStrong hands-on knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, pneumatic systems, and electrical systemsExperience operating and repairing welding tools (oxy, electric, TIG, and MIG)Proven ability to independently manage tasks and work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and time management skillsMust possess a valid intermediate or heavy truck licenseA team player with the ability to work unsupervised when neededFluent in English
