About the job:The Hotel & Event Coordinator plays a pivotal role in organizing and overseeing events at the hotel. This role involves coordinating with clients to understand their needs, working with various departments to ensure smooth event execution, and maintaining high standards of service. The coordinator will also manage budgets, negotiate with vendors, and ensure all events comply with the hotel's standards and regulations. Responsibilities: 1. Plan and coordinate events, including meetings, conferences, weddings, and other special occasions. 2. Liaise with clients to determine their requirements and expectations for each event. 3. Collaborate with hotel staff and departments to ensure seamless event operations. 4. Manage event budgets, including cost estimation and resource allocation. 5. Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best deals. 6. Oversee event setup, including audiovisual equipment, seating arrangements, and décor. 7. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements. 8. Provide on-site support during events to address any issues or concerns. 9. Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and areas for improvement. 10. Maintain strong relationships with clients and seek opportunities for repeat business.Qualification:Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Event Planning, or a related field. Proven experience in event planning or hotel management. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in event management software and MS Office. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
