Job description:We are looking for an HR Trainee to join our HR team at Vaisala’s headquarters in Vantaa, Finland. Are you a student eager to gain hands-on experience in HR and employer branding? In this role, you will support Vaisala’s efforts to attract and engage future talent while learning how talent acquisition and employer branding work in a global company.  This is a 12-month fixed-term position, starting as soon as a suitable candidate is found. Depending on your situation, the traineeship can be arranged either full-time or part-time alongside your studies. Together with the team, you will help us connect Vaisala with future talent through meaningful student and employer branding activities. In addition, you will work in talent development to build online trainings, for example. You will work closely with colleagues in HR, Communications, and across Vaisala, and you will report to the Global Head of Talent management. In this role, you will: · Plan and coordinate student and employer branding activities, from managing practicalities to designing engaging content and involving relevant Vaisala experts · Strengthen collaboration with student guilds and associations by coordinating joint activities and ensuring smooth communication and visibility · Contribute to the organization of talent group visits, course collaborations, and other student-facing opportunities that highlight Vaisala as an inspiring workplace · Take an active role in developing and coordinating the Giant Leap internship program, including planning events, workshops, and community activities for interns · Develop learning opportunities and trainings for Vaisala employees · Depending on your interests, have the opportunity to contribute to recruitment and onboarding activities, gaining first-hand experience of talent acquisition in practice · Support local and global HR initiatives that enhance the employee experience, helping to strengthen Vaisala’s position as a great place to work and grow What will you bring? · You are a current university student or have recently completed studies in a relevant field, such as HR, business, or communications · Strong organizational and collaboration skills with experience in event coordination. You enjoy bringing people together through well-planned activities and events · Hands-on experience in student organizations, understanding how they operate, with active involvement in building and managing corporate collaboration or partnerships· Genuine interest in HR, employer branding, talent attraction, and communication, and are motivated to learn how these areas connect in practice · Good skills in statistical tools and methods (for example SPSS or R)· Fluency in English· Proactiveness, curiosity, and ability to take initiative while working as part of a supportive team For additional information, please contact Sini Sippola, Talent Acquisition Manager at sini.sippola@vaisala.com.
