We are accredited by NATA and ISO 9001, ensuring our services meet both Australian and international standards.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced HSEQ & Compliance Lead to drive safety, quality, and regulatory excellence across our Industries business lines. You will play a key role in strengthening our compliance frameworks, supporting continuous improvement, and fostering a proactive HSEQ culture.This is a 12-month fixed term contract, offering the opportunity to lead and influence significant HSEQ and compliance initiatives. You will contribute to system improvements, audit readiness, and operational alignment during a critical phase of development and growth.About The RoleYou will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing compliance with NATA accreditation, ISO certifications, and our Operational Integrity Management System (OIMS). You’ll drive a proactive HSEQ culture by leading internal audits, supporting corrective actions, and guiding teams through accreditation and compliance requirements.This role acts as the central point of coordination between site management, internal stakeholders, and external accreditation and regulatory bodies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate NATA accreditation activities to ensure audit readiness and compliance across laboratories and service lines.Maintain certification frameworks including ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.Develop, implement, and manage internal audit programs and management reviews.Track, report, and follow up on audit outcomes, CARs, client feedback, and incident investigations.Provide training and coaching to operational teams on audit practices, documentation, and evidence-based compliance.Manage compliance registers (permits, licences, authorities, audit schedules).Maintain and update OIMS and associated quality systems.Facilitate external audits (NATA, certifying bodies, client audits) and ensure timely closure of findings.Support safety, environment, and quality improvement initiatives across workshops, laboratories, and field operations.Contribute HSEQ performance insights to business planning and leadership discussions.QualificationsWhat You’ll BringEssentialTertiary qualification in Science, Engineering, Health & Safety, or Quality Management.Experience in HSEQ, compliance, or quality roles—preferably within industrial services, inspection, or laboratory environments.Demonstrated knowledge and experience with NATA accreditation and ISO certification systems.Auditor training in ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001.Strong understanding of management system frameworks and audit methodologies.Competency using business systems and document control platforms (e.g., OIMS, Pronto, SharePoint).Valid Australian driver’s licence and ability to meet site access requirements.DesirableExperience in oilfield tools, mechanical testing or industrial inspection services.Exposure to client audits and high-compliance operational environments.Additional RequirementsWillingness to travel interstate and intrastate.Ability to work outside normal business hours when required.Ability to complete relevant site access and safety training.Additional InformationWHY WORK FOR SGS?
