If you are an achiever who is relentless in ensuring that we achieve business results and create a great company culture while doing it, then we’re looking for you!ScopeThe Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a strategic partner, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives across Canada and the United States. Partnering closely with the Director of Human Resources, the HRBP supports workforce planning, employee relations, talent and performance management, and organizational change across multi-site operations. This role builds strong relationships in both office and warehouse environments and serves as a trusted coach and advisor to leaders, ensuring alignment with applicable employment laws, company policies, and business priorities.Duties & Responsibilities Strategic HR PartnershipDevelop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and foster a high-performance culturePartner with senior management to identify talent needs, succession planning, and workforce planning initiativesCollaborate with department heads to address organizational challenges, promote teamwork, and enhance employee engagementLead change management initiatives and facilitate organizational development interventions to support business growth and transformation Talent Management & Performance SupportLead and support performance management processes, including performance coaching, talent development, and career planningContribute to talent management initiatives such as succession planning, job standardization, retention strategies, and development planningDevelop and maintain job descriptions, career paths, and title alignment for assigned areas in collaboration with HR leadership and business stakeholdersEmployee Relations & Workforce SupportProvide trusted guidance and support to employees and leaders on absence and health matters, work conduct and disciplinary issues, organizational change, and other employee relations mattersDeliver hands-on HR support to office and warehouse employees, addressing day-to-day concerns and promoting a positive and compliant work environmentPartner with managers to support effective onboarding, conduct follow-ups with new hires, and drive employee engagement and retentionConduct exit and experience discussions with departing employees to gather insights and support continuous improvementLeave Of Absence & Benefits AdministrationManage and administer leaves of absence, including employee consultations, explanation of available options, documentation requirements, and coordination with service providerDeliver benefits orientations for new employees and provide ongoing guidance by responding to employee questions and inquiries, ensuring clear understanding of benefit programs, policies, and procedures Health & Safety CollaborationCollaborate as a member of the Health & Safety team, supporting workplace safety initiatives and compliance.Work with warehouse and office leadership and employees to address health and safety concerns and support follow-up actions HR Operations & Business SupportEnsure compliance with employment laws, labour relations, privacy, human rights, and other regulatory requirementsIdentify and communicate opportunities to improve HR processes and recommend new policies, procedures, and approachesCreate procedures and processes to evolve the HR function as the organization scales and growsRespond to general employee inquiries and liaise with other business lines as required HR Systems & Operational SupportPartner with Payroll and HR team members to coordinate changes impacting employee pay or employment statusProvide cross-trained support for HRIS transactions, including new hires, benefit enrolments, employee changes and updatesSupport new hire orientation as needed, ensuring continuity of HR operations and a positive onboarding experienceSkills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent HR/business experienceCHRP designation or working toward designation is an asset4+ years of experience as a human resources professional, preferably in a distribution environmentProven ability to build effective relationships at all levels in the organizationSelf-directed and motivated HR professional who promotes best practices and leads by exampleStrong working knowledge of HR management systems, including applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, and compensation modulesStrong communication, analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Knowledge in employment legislation including employment standards, privacy, and human rightsThe successful candidate will receive a conditional offer, contingent upon the successful completion of a background check conducted by our contracted third-party vendor.
