From recruitment and employee relations to performance coaching and HR technology management, we provide comprehensive solutions to drive organizational success.The Position As a Senior HR Generalist, you will deliver strategic HR support and guidance to our clients with the support of our HRBP’s. You will collaborate closely with client organizations to understand their unique challenges and objectives, and provide tailored HR solutions to address their needs effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for driving positive organizational change. Consulting experience is not required, as we welcome candidates with diverse HR backgrounds who are eager to learn and grow. The ideal candidate is confident, adaptable, and motivated by the chance to create real change.And if you love to network and build relationships, there’s also potential to earn commission for identifying and bringing in new consulting opportunities.The Day-to-Day: Integrated and Project HR Support Client Relationship ManagementServe as a key point of contact for assigned clients, building strong, trusting relationships and developing a clear understanding of their business goals and HR needs.Conduct regular check-ins to assess evolving priorities, share updates, and provide proactive, solutions-oriented support.Collaborate with clients to identify areas of opportunity where HR strategy or operational support can create value.Generalist HR Support (Fractional & Project-Based)Provide day-to-day HR guidance on matters such as employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, job descriptions, performance conversations, and policy interpretation.Support and/or lead project-based work including policy development, handbook reviews, compliance audits, and compensation research.Recommend practical, scalable HR solutions that align with the client’s culture, industry, and stage of growth.Recruitment & Talent ManagementAssist clients in developing recruitment strategies, drafting job postings, sourcing candidates, and facilitating the interview and offer process.Support onboarding and employee integration processes to enhance engagement and retention.Advise on performance management tools and strategies to help leaders coach, develop, and retain talent.Employee Relations & EngagementGuide clients through employee relations issues with clarity and compliance, offering tools and resources to manage risk and resolve concerns effectively.Provide insight on employee engagement practices that align with each client’s values and business strategy.HR Planning & AdvisoryAct as a strategic thought partner to client leaders, supporting them in aligning people practices with business goals.Contribute to the development and execution of HR plans, initiatives, and programs across various clients.Internal Collaboration & GrowthCollaborate with the Stoppler Hughes team to share insights, build tools, and contribute to internal process improvements.Bring a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to help identify and pursue new opportunities with existing or prospective clients.HR Process Optimization:Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance efficiency within client organizations.Recommend and implement HR technology solutions to automate and optimize HR operations.Provide other HR-related support as required.QualificationsPost-secondary education with a focus in Human Resources.Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle to travel to client sites around the Edmonton area.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Computer literacy, including effective working skills of Adobe products, Google suite, and Mac preferred.Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.Proven project management skills required.A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or factsCPHR certification would be an asset.Job Type: Part-time with the option to move to full-time in the future.
