We're now on the lookout for a People Services Specialist to join our dynamic team in Upminster. If you’re passionate about HR, love getting the details right, and thrive in a fast-paced, people-focused environment, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.The Role: As a People Services Specialist, you’ll be the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries from employees and managers, delivering a customer-first service across all areas of the employee lifecycle. From onboarding to leavers, from payroll support to policy compliance – you’ll help keep everything running smoothly and compliantly. This is a hands-on and varied role, ideal for someone who’s already working in HR administration and wants to take the next step in their career. You’ll also play a mentoring role for our People Services Coordinator and support on key projects and process improvements across the team. What you'll be doing: Manage end-to-end HR administration across the full employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, probation, training, changes, leavers)Be the first point of contact for employee HR queries – offering excellent service via email, phone, or in personMaintain accurate HR records and data across our systems (Cintra, The Learning Space, etc.), ensuring GDPR and compliance standards are metSupport payroll by ensuring accurate data processing and responding to payroll-related queriesCoordinate and administer family-friendly leave processes (maternity, paternity, shared parental), including pay calculations and communicationsSchedule and support disciplinary, grievance and investigation meetings, including minute-taking and documentationCollaborate with HR Business Partners on projects like TUPE, restructures, and training complianceAct as a subject matter expert on Right to Work checks and DBS administrationChampion process improvement, support HR system usage, and deliver training where neededWhat we’re looking for:CIPD Level 3 qualified (minimum)Previous experience in a busy HR or People TeamExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsStrong interpersonal and written communication skillsComfortable handling sensitive, confidential informationConfident working with HR systems and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Proactive, adaptable, and ready to support changeKnowledge of UK employment law and payroll processes is a big plus Why join Arcus: We’re an award-winning facilities management provider that values expertise and commitment.
