Skyline Enterprises, the parent company based in New Zealand, has a rich history as a tourism pioneer since the 1960s.Role DescriptionAs a Hyfly Operator at Skyline Hyfly, you will play a crucial role in delivering a safe and exhilarating experience for our guests. You will be responsible for conducting thorough equipment inspections, providing detailed safety briefings, and guiding guests through the Hyfly course while ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols. Your exceptional customer service skills will create a memorable and enjoyable adventure for every participant.1.      Duties and Responsibilitiesa)  Safety and Equipment Management: Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of all Hyfly equipment, including harnesses, helmets, trolleys, cables, and landing platforms, documenting findings according to company standards.Ensure all equipment is properly fitted and adjusted for each guest, providing clear instructions on its use.Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on Hyfly equipment, reporting any significant issues to your superior or the Operations Manager.Execute emergency procedures, including guest rescues, according to the Skyline Hyfly training manual, utilizing equipment such as the Petzl ID and JAG systems.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of and adhere to all safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).b)     Guest Interaction and Customer Service: Greet guests with enthusiasm and provide detailed safety briefings, ensuring comprehension of all instructions.Assist guests with harnessing and equipment fitting, offering encouragement and reassurance as needed.Guide guests through the Hyfly course, providing engaging commentary and ensuring a positive experience.Respond to guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.Capture memorable moments for guests and contribute to a fun and exciting atmosphere.c)      Operational Support: Be a solid contributor to the day to day operation of the Hyfly, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections and maintenance activities.Communicate effectively with other team members, including ground staff and management, to ensure smooth operations.Complete other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.d)     Training and Development: Seek to improve skills and competencies through training and personal development initiatives.Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions to maintain proficiency in rescue procedures and emergency response.2.      Preferred SkillsPrevious experience as a Hyfly operator or in a related outdoor adventure role.Knowledge of Hyfly operations and safety standards.Experience with equipment maintenance and repair.3.      GeneralMaintain a professional appearance and demeanour at all times.Uphold the company's mission and values.Ensure confidentiality of company information.Any other duties which may be related to and consistent with the above Job Description as directed by the superior or Operations Manager.QualificationsExperience in operating amusement park rides or similar equipmentKnowledge of safety procedures and protocolsCustomer service and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPhysical fitness and ability to stand for extended periodsFirst aid certification is a plusExperience in the tourism or hospitality industry is a bonus
