Industrial Project Manager (Medior)

Our client is a global player in material technology. A stable international group and at the same time a top Belgian company with four locations in our country. We develop technologies and produce materials for high-performance solar cells used in satellites, rechargeable batteries, LED applications, catalysts… Through recycling, we recover valuable metals from, among other things, laptops and mobile phones.ResponsibilitiesWithin the Project Engineering department, you will set up and lead technical industrial projects, from idea to realization. These projects are carried out for production facilities, infrastructure, and R&D. We have different types of projects within different disciplines. Some projects are in the start-up phase, some projects are already ongoing.You are ultimately responsible for all aspects of your project:Defining the project scope in consultation with the client:a. Defining specific deliverables: what is complete when the project is finished?b. Defining constraints (budget, planning).Assembling and leading the project team.Preparing the technical design of the entire project.Preparing specifications / tender documents for orders, engineering firms, and contractors (both internal and external).Selecting orders, engineering firms, and contractors, including specific resources such as designers or outsourcing (part) projects.Directing and monitoring all resources, both internal and external.Maintaining contact with the client throughout the project to capture and assess changes, and implementing agreed scope changes.Reporting to stakeholders.RequirementsTechnical Profile RequirementsEngineer with a minimum of 5 years professional experience and already managed industrial projects.At least 3 years of experience leading technical industrial projects.You have a broad general knownledge of the different disciplines: Mechanics, elektricity, piping, Civil,...Technical knowledge of other disciplines such as electromechanics and chemistry.Knowledge and application of all common project management aspects.Academic thinking level (analytical but also helicopter view).Good reporting skills.Non-Technical Profile RequirementsTeam player, communicative at all levels (clients, colleagues, suppliers, higher management).Ability to manage and coach a team.Broad experience and great interest in technology, engineering, and project management.Language ProficienciesDutch: FluentEnglish: Very GoodInterviewsFirst interview via TeamsSecond interview onsiteContractStart: ASAPFirst contract until end of 2025Extension possible, long term vision
