About The RoleAs Industry Engagement Advisor - Automotive, you’ll play a pivotal role in AUSMASA’s mission to foster relationships with key stakeholders in the mining and automotive industries, ensuring their voice is represented in the development of innovative, future-proof VET training packages.This role provides the opportunity for you to drive AUSMASA’s strategic goals by building strong stakeholder relationships, maintaining high-quality data, and contributing to our growth and reputation. You’ll manage a portfolio of projects that align qualifications and training with industry needs, support workforce planning and skills development, and promote apprenticeship pathways to boost productivity across the sector.What You’ll DoProvide strategic advice on industry trends, emerging issues, and engagement opportunities.Develop and implement engagement plans aligned with AUSMASA’s vision and goals.Build and maintain strong relationships with industry, peak bodies, unions, and training providers.Support advisory groups, outreach initiatives, and stakeholder collaboration efforts.Analyse industry insights to inform responses and identify impacts on training packages.Assist with operational support, including supporting stakeholder management systems, event management, and attending national meetings.About YouOrganised and confident, you enjoy bringing people together, solving challenges, and making things happen.You BringDemonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, business development, or a similar role within the automotive or related industries, with knowledge of relevant legislation.Understanding of Australia’s Vocational Education and Training system, the Australian Qualifications Framework, and workforce development trends in the automotive sector.Strong written, verbal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder dynamics.Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Borealis) and Microsoft Office, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.Even Better If You Also HaveWorking knowledge and experience in the Australian automotive industries.Previous experience working in a small, national team.Exposure to training and development within an automotive context.Exposure to automotive industry stakeholder groups.Why Join AUSMASA?At AUSMASA, you’ll be part of a collaborative, purpose-driven organisation shaping Australia’s future workforce.
