Information Security Officer

My Dublin based client is recruiting for an experienced Information Security Officer to take ownership of IT and information security. This is a hands-on role with real scope to shape security strategy, processes, and culture across the business.ResponsibilitiesLead, develop, and maintain IT and information security policies, standards, and controls.Support the achievement and maintenance of key certifications (e.g. Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001).Identify, assess, and manage information security risks, implementing appropriate mitigation measures.Work closely with IT, Engineering, Product, Sales, and Leadership to embed security by design into systems and processes.Oversee security tools and solutions, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response activity.Produce clear documentation, logs, and reports for audits, stakeholders, and senior management.Promote security awareness and best practice across the organisation through guidance and training.Experience Required3+ years’ experience in an information security role, ideally within a global or multi-site organisation.Good knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and controls (e.g. ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, NIST).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, risk-based approach.Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.High attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
