Vacancy Announcement: Innovation LeadLocation: NepalLevel of Effort: 50% (10 days per month)Application Deadline: 16th November 2025About the Role: Innovation LeadInnovation is a central pillar of the Local Infrastructure Support Programme (LISP)’s approach. The Innovation Lead will play a pivotal role in identifying, testing, and scaling new technologies, tools, and delivery models that improve local infrastructure governance, financial management, climate resilience, and service delivery.Working closely with the Innovation, Evidence and Learning (IEL) workstream, the Innovation Lead will bridge global innovation opportunities with Nepal’s local delivery needs — ensuring innovations are locally relevant, inclusive, and sustainable. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct a landscape study of locally-led innovations relevant to LISP’s objectives (e.g. digital tools, circular economy, low-carbon materials, nature-based solutions, Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning (AI/ML) applications).Develop a pipeline and concept notes for innovation pilots and testing within LISP’s Year 3 workplan.Coordinate with the IEL Lead and technical teams to ensure innovations contribute to evidence generation, learning, and results frameworks.Collaborate with local governments, private sector, academia, and innovators to promote adoption and institutionalisation of successful innovations.Support cross-learning between LISP, United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) partners, and other DT Global programmes.Represent LISP at innovation forums and policy dialogues, promoting Nepal’s local innovation ecosystem. Required Qualifications and ExperienceMaster’s degree in engineering, public policy, innovation studies, or related field (preferred).Minimum 7 years of professional experience in innovation management, technology transfer, or applied research in development contexts.Experience in infrastructure, governance, or local government programmes in Nepal.Strong understanding of local governance systems, digital transformation, and climate-resilient infrastructure.Proven experience with agile prototyping and innovation methodologies.Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.How to ApplyInterested candidates are invited to submit their CV to HRLISP@dt-global.com by 16th November 2025.Please mention “Application for Innovation Lead” in the subject line.
