This role is hands-on, analytical, and central to the accuracy of NVD’s financial information across hotels, commercial and residential properties, and development projects.If you take pride in clean financials, enjoy solving problems, and want real ownership in your work, this role offers challenge, variety, and meaningful impact. What Does Your Success Look Like?Fixed assets are accurate and up to date, with clean capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.Development project costs are reliable, well-documented, and correctly classified.Balance sheet reconciliations are complete each month, with discrepancies addressed quickly.Month-end and audit cycles move smoothly because your schedules and support documents are organized and error-free.Bank accounts across all entities reconcile accurately, without delays or outstanding issues.GST/HST and PST filings are submitted on time with zero compliance concerns.Accounting processes improve over time through practical efficiencies you identify and help to implement.Operational teams receive accurate financial insight that helps them make informed decisions.What You Bring to The RoleConsiderable accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP and ASPE.Experience with fixed assets, project cost tracking, or intercompany transactions is an asset.Advanced Excel skills and comfort with financial systems.Power BI experience is an asset.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Solid analytical and problem-solving ability.Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.Enrollment in or intention to begin the CPA program is an asset.What You’ll Love About Working HereWork with a diverse portfolio of hotels, properties, and development projects that offer far more variety and learning than a typical accounting role.
