Job DescriptionThe RoleAs an Analyst in the Manila Research Team you will assist the global Manager Research team in conducting research into investment managers and their investment strategies on behalf of Willis Towers Watson’s clients. The initial focus of the role will be supporting the creating and running of analytical reports, together with data collation, management and analysis. Over time, we expect an Analyst’s role to broaden including advanced data analysis and interpretation that will directly affect the manager research process and impact client portfolios.The Main Duties And Responsibilities AreProduction/review of generic research output, including internal quantitative and qualitative reportsProduction of investment reviews of investment strategies / productsUsing internal tools to produce research analyticsData collation and management, using both in-house and externally-provided database systemsProduction and review of performance analysis/monitoringCreation of and improvements to research toolsAssist Manager Researchers with both regular and ad-hoc data analysisProvide back-up to other members of Manila Research TeamSupport projects within the research teamDevelop skills as a research specialist, offering technical expertise and supportEnsure that production of draft reports complies with quality standards (Professional Excellence and audit controls)Performance ObjectivesClients - take ownership of reports and build strong relationships with other teamsFinancial/Business KPIs - work efficiently and achieve chargeable hours targetPeople - build strong relationships across various teams and support colleagues to create a good working environmentOperational Excellence and Innovation - follow policies and guidelines; seek to develop more effective tools and products to support our clients and the business QualificationsThe RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance or equivalent; with at least one to two years’ of relevant work experienceStrong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to carry out qualitative and quantitative data collection and summarise the key findingsProven effective oral and written communication skills in business EnglishKnowledge of the R programming language is a plusWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook, and an interest in enhancing these skillsGood organisation and time management skill, with a proven ability to handle a variety of assignments and meet tight deadlinesConfidence to liaise with people at all levels in a variety of roles, locations and functionsAbility to work on own initiative when required, as well as in a teamDetail and results orientated, with a logical and analytical method of workingBasic project management skills is a plusDesire to work in the investment industry WTW is an Equal Opportunity Employer
