Job Summary:The IT/OT Engineer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving automated and computerized systems within production and packaging operations. This includes managing inspection and serialization systems, ensuring system reliability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role also requires active participation in safety, compliance, and cross-functional projects while ensuring alignment with site and corporate standards.Key Responsibilities:Demonstrate and promote strong leadership in Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) initiatives, engaging employees at all levels on SHE matters.Provide technical expertise and support to IPT (Integrated Production Team) and COE (Center of Excellence) on computerized and automation systems, including:SeaVision and LAETUS inspection systemsAntares Serialization and Vision Inspection systemsVial and Syringe Packaging LinesPerform timely completion of preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) tasks, and drive continuous improvement activities, including:System backup and disaster recoveryObsolescence managementData analytics to identify and reduce frequent breakdown trendsPassword management, periodic access review, and user account managementUpdates and reviews of SOPs, Work Instructions (WI), and PM documentationProvide automation and IT technical support for capital projects and other site initiatives.Participate in field walk-downs, as-built P&ID and HAZOP reviews, and ensure all related action items are completed.Maintain and provide technical expertise on serialization and automated packaging lines, leveraging tools like JIRA for issue tracking and documentation.Conduct cross-functional or interdepartmental training to ensure knowledge sharing and skill retention.Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Merck Production System (MPS) 8-step problem solving) to identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).Participate in cross-functional quality investigations to resolve equipment or system-related issues.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure proper implementation, validation, and documentation of computerized systems.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Hands-on experience in automation systems, industrial control systems, or IT/OT integration within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.Practical knowledge of inspection systems (SeaVision, LAETUS) and serialization systems (Antares) is strongly preferred.Strong understanding of system backups, disaster recovery, and obsolescence management.Familiarity with GxP, CSV (Computer System Validation), and SDLC principles.Experience analyzing system data and trends to improve equipment reliability and performance.Knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and access control within operational technology environments.Ability to work collaboratively across functions and provide training or technical guidance to peers.Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.Experience using platforms such as JIRA or other issue-tracking tools.
