And now, we’re ready for the next chapter: strengthening our IT and Security operations to support our fast growth.That’s where you come in.Your MissionAs our IT & Security Specialist, you’ll keep every Hoxhunter productive, connected, and secure. We’re a Mac-first environment, and keeping our macOS fleet secure and reliable is a core part of this role. You’ll provide hands-on IT support, manage devices and access, and help monitor and respond to security events across our Helsinki and US offices. You’ll run daily operations with high quality and pace, using documented workflows and good judgement while continuously improving how we work.This role focuses on execution and operational reliability. You’ll work closely with the IT & Security Manager and Senior IT & Security Specialist, escalating complex cases and growing into deeper ownership over time.What You’ll DoIT OperationsProvide daily support for macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, and related tooling.Set up hardware, software, and accounts for new hires.Execute onboarding, offboarding, and role changes reliably using documented workflows and good judgement.Administer Microsoft 365 and Entra ID tasks (and selected Azure/Google Workspace tasks) based on team procedures.Handle procurement: quotes, purchase orders, deliveries, and asset intake.Maintain accurate asset inventory and internal IT documentation.Security OperationsMonitor and review security alerts and logs from Microsoft security tooling and related platforms.Triage, contain, and remediate endpoint and identity threats using EDR/XDR, Conditional Access/IdP controls, and RMM (with escalation when needed).Perform endpoint hygiene tasks: patching follow-ups, compliance checks, and basic hardening enforcement via MDM.Deliver security onboarding and practical guidance for employees.Support SOC 2 Type II activities with the IT & Security Manager (evidence collection, control checks, documentation updates).Manage secure offboarding of systems and devices (access removal, device return, wipe coordination)Keep our macOS fleet secure through device compliance, configuration enforcement, and continuous hygiene.Troubleshoot and remediate macOS security and stability issues, escalating advanced cases when needed.Support endpoint security fundamentals such as disk encryption, least privilege, and device trust.CollaborationWork closely with the IT & Security Manager and teammates on daily priorities and improvements.Escalate correctly, communicate clearly, and keep stakeholders updated.Share learnings and help keep runbooks and documentation current.Tech You’ll Work WithYou Will Work In a Cloud-first Environment IncludingmacOS, Windows, iOS, Android endpoints.Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune (MDM).EDR/XDR and SIEM for detection and investigation.ZTNA and RMM for secure access and operations.Hoxhunt’s own platform for security awareness operations and reported-threat workflows (triage, follow-ups, and coordination).Slack, Teams, Zoom.Google Workspace (selected domains).We actively use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Cursor to move faster in scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, and operational analysis.Location and SalaryHelsinki HQ is the primary location. Hybrid work is supported, with regular office presence expected.The expected salary range is €4,200–€4,500/month. We’re open to adjust for candidates with strong matching experience.What You Bring5+ years in IT Support, IT Operations, IT Security, Service Desk, or a similar hands-on role (SaaS scale-up experience is a big plus).Strong macOS and Windows troubleshooting skills; comfortable with Entra ID and Intune-driven device management tasks.A security mindset and willingness to learn by doing (alerts, triage, runbooks, tooling).Ability to follow processes accurately, document clearly, and improve small things continuously.Good prioritization skills in a fast-moving environment; calm when things change.Bonus: scripting basics (PowerShell, Bash, KQL) and familiarity with EDR/ZTNA/RMM.Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish.Who You AreYou’re hands-on and adaptable. You keep stakeholders informed, document what happened, and ensure follow-ups get done.You take ownership, but you also know when to escalate early and bring others in to reduce risk and downtime.You’re practical and service-minded.
