Junior Accountant

Job Purpose:The role is responsible for managing financial transactions, including contractor payments, retention deductions, variation orders, and compliance with social insurance requirements. The position ensures accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation of all construction payment activities, while supporting financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Job Responsibilities:Process routine Interim Payment Certificates (IPC) and calculate retention deductions in line with contractual agreements.Coordinate with social insurance offices to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.Prepare, review, and file contractor payment documentation for accuracy and completeness.Process variation order payments based on approved amounts and ensure accurate reflection in accounts.Update and reconcile contractor accounts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date payment records.Assist in the processing and documentation of retention release payments.Handle daily construction payment transactions, inquiries, and related correspondence.Maintain organized payment files, ensuring availability for audits and compliance reviews.Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.Strong knowledge of accounting principles (preferably IFRS).Minimum of 1–2 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in construction or contracting environments.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics).Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced functions.Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis tools.Fluent in English, with strong written and spoken proficiency.
