Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced L2 VoIP Engineer to join a growing technical support team in Cape Town. This role requires strong VoIP troubleshooting ability, excellent customer communication skills, and experience supporting voice technologies in a high-volume environment.The successful candidate will resolve complex VoIP issues, manage support tickets, handle escalations, and ensure system stability for business customers. You will be supporting inbound calls and electronic tickets, diagnosing faults, performing remote troubleshooting, and ensuring full service restoration for clients. Experience with platforms such as 8x8, RingCentral, LG iPECS, Gamma, hosted VoIP/SIP, or similar is highly beneficial.This is an office-based, full-time role working Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 (SA hours aligned to UK support). Candidates must demonstrate solid experience in VoIP support, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to explain technical concepts clearly, and confidence working within a structured SLA-driven environment.Requirements: • Proven VoIP support experience (L2 level) • Strong understanding of hosted VoIP/SIP services • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related voice issues • Experience working on a service desk or in a technical customer support environment • Excellent written and verbal English communication • Ability to manage multiple tickets and prioritise effectively • Strong customer service mindset with a proactive approach • Clear documentation and follow-through on all troubleshooting stepsIf you meet the above criteria and want to advance your technical career in voice engineering, please submit your CV for consideration.
