Introduction to ImpacttImpactt was founded in 1997 with the mission of improving the lives of workers in international supply chains in a way which makes business sense.  Since then, the company has grown to be a leader in the field with a high reputation for quality, excellence, integrity and delivery and for delivering innovative and scalable solutions which work for workers whilst having a strong understanding of business.  As a longstanding innovator, we leverage new possibilities through collaboration and cross-learning, pushing the sector to go further, and faster.Project backgroundImpactt is commissioned to conduct human rights assessments of contractors’ and subcontractors’ compliance with national labour laws on two construction sites in Baghdad, Iraq.The purpose of the assessment is to help the company to gain an understanding of the labour rights risks experienced by its workforce and assess the effectiveness of management systems in mitigating these risks.Impactt Is Looking For a Labour & Human Rights Field Consultant With Experience In Auditing Who Can Complete The Following TasksAttend briefing calls with the Impactt team.  Conduct confidential worker interviews of contracted workers in Arabic, Kurdish. Carry out document and management systems reviews (policies, procedures, contracts, records) Conduct management interviews and site walk-throughs Attend debrief sessions with the on-the-ground team throughout the assessment.  Support with logistical arrangements for the interviews, where required.  Reporting findings from interviews in a pre-designed template.  Perform any other reasonable tasks related to the assessment as required TimelineThe exact timelines for the assessment are still to be decided; however, this will likely be taking place at the start of December 2025. We expect that assessment activities will take place over the course of five days. We are looking to interview potential candidates week commencing 24th November.Impactt may be in touch with the candidate regarding additional projects in the future depending on the demand in Iraq.Essential SkillsPassionate about Impactt and the work we do.  Strong self-management and good team player.  Strong sense of initiative and great capacity at working on their own.  Pro-active, thinking about future actions.  Adaptable and solutions orientated.  Reliable, strong integrity and ethical behaviour.  Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.  Empathy with others and ability to respond accordingly.  General ExperienceMinimum of 2-4 years’ experience delivering individual or group interviews (preferably working with vulnerable groups of people).  Experience assessing human rights risks in high-risk sectors and familiarity with labour rights issues. Good understanding of national labour law. Exposure to international labour law. Experience in social compliance auditing or labour rights assessments/investigations.  Specific ExperienceA good understanding of labour rights risks faced by subcontracted workers in international supply chains.  LanguageGood written and spoken English.  Fluency in Arabic. Right to workMust have a legal right to work in Iraq.How does it work and who should apply?Please note: This is not a full-time role. Once you have successfully applied, you will join our pool of associate consultants and will also be considered for additional short-term and long-term assignments in the region as and when they come up.
