Lead Frontend Engineer - Next.js + React.js

We are looking for an Associate Tech Lead or Tech Lead (Frontend) with strong expertise in Next.js and React.js, and a deep understanding of JavaScript fundamentals. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building high-performing, scalable front-end applications and have experience leading teams, enforcing best practices, and mentoring engineers.You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing modern web applications while ensuring maintainability, performance, and technical excellence across the frontend stack.Required Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience in React.js and Next.js.Strong understanding of JavaScript, including how things work under the hood (event loop, closures, async patterns, rendering, etc.).Solid experience in frontend architecture, state management, and API integration.Familiarity with TypeScript, CSS-in-JS, and component-driven development.2+ years of experience in a leadership or mentorship role.Experience collaborating closely with backend teams (especially .NET Core APIs).Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.Nice to HaveExperience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, containerization, or automated deployments.Exposure to performance profiling, SSR/SSG optimization, or frontend observability tools.Interest or experience in AI-related technologies or modern design systems.ResponsibilitiesLead the frontend development efforts for web and mobile web applications.Architect, design, and maintain scalable, maintainable, and performant frontend systems.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to frontend engineers.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including backend, design, and QA.Define and enforce best practices in coding standards, code reviews, and documentation.Contribute to project planning, estimation, and technical decision-making.Ensure high-quality UI/UX implementation aligned with modern frontend principles.Continuously research and adopt new technologies to improve frontend performance and developer productivity.DevUpLink is a startup software development company that specializes in delivering innovative and effective technology solutions for real-world business problems and social needs for organizations in both the private and government sectors.
