Join the Royal Institute of Colombo as a Lecturer cum Academic Coordinator for our prestigious Deakin University Pathway ProgrammesThis dual role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute both academically and administratively, supporting students while ensuring the smooth operation of the Pathway Programme.  Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging lectures and tutorials for assigned modules in the curriculum.Conduct academic interviews for prospective students commencing the programme.Maintain and monitor student databases, attendance records, and academic progress.Prepare and update timetables, coordinating effectively with academic staff.Oversee class scheduling in collaboration with the admin office. Arranging, monitoring and conducting student assessments and class tests.Support admissions, marketing and other departments during student intake cycles and other cross-departmental events.Liaise with the Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA) for academic quality-related initiatives and on-going activities.Represent RIC at local and international forums when assigned.Coordinate academic communications with Deakin University, Australia.Arrange industry collaboration activities for students.Perform any other assigned tasks essential for the smooth functioning of the Programme and institutional practices.RequirementsA Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 5 years of industry/teaching experience or a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline (Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields).Prior lecturing or teaching experience in higher education is highly preferred.Experience in academic coordination, student support, or academic administration will be an added advantage.Strong understanding of university-level modules, assessments, and academic quality standards.Excellent command of English - both written and spoken.Proficiency in MS Office and ability to manage academic databases and reporting tools.Ability to work collaboratively with academic and non-academic teams.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to counsel, mentor, and guide students.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines independently
