Position: Legal AssistantLocation: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid; 3 days onsite after 90 days)Pay: $70,000 to $98,000 annuallyExperience: 3+ years of experience to provide administrative and litigation assistance to attorneys and office visitors (clients/attorneys) in support of practice needs.Type: Full-time; Direct HireSchedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (Must be able to work OT as needed)Kent Daniels & Associates is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our dynamic law firm client!Job Description: Collaborate with off-site word processing services, duplication/office services, Travel, Billing, and other departments to delegate work and meet deadlines.Act as liaison between lawyers and IT User Support to address technical/software issues.Manage client intake, billing, and assist with court filings in state and federal courts, and work with Court Services for eFilings.Onboard new clients and open new matters in accordance with the Conflicts Department procedures.Work directly with case teams and associated vendors to support and meet needs (trial space selection, translation services, and court reporters).Provide support to trial and deal teams in a firm-billable project assistant capacity, including as the onsite assistant for trial teams (possible travel).Work directly with deal teams to support and meet relevant needs, including preparing an initial set of draft financing/M&A documents, signature packets via DocuSign, and closing binders.Support attorney case-related work (document edits, research projects (compiling data into spreadsheets, pulling requested cases), and client or government letter drafts.Perform filing, photocopying, scanning, faxing, compiling, mailing/delivery, and distribution of documents.Manage and maintain lawyers' calendars and communication to anticipate items that require follow-up.Maintain notary certification to provide notary services.Provide meeting and travel support, as well as translation services/coordinate translation services.Provide administrative support with marketing and business development, including assembling marketing materials (biographies, one-pagers, pitch materials) using PowerPoint for events/meetings, working with the BD team to request lawyer biography updates, and maintaining attorney contacts, records, and calendars.Conduct internet research and coordinate with the knowledge services team to pull articles to support lawyers' BD efforts.Update the BD team on lawyers' BD activities (such as speaking engagements, conference attendance, and meetings with clients).Submit sponsorships and charitable contribution invoices.Position Requirements: Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Windows 7, and have the ability to type 50+ WPM.Knowledge of electronic court filing (eFiling/ECF/PACER), LexisNexis, and State and Federal Court rules is needed.Familiarity with time entry and billing systems (Intapp and Elite) and eDocs is preferred.Must be a self-starter with excellent customer service abilities and have excellent grammar, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.Kent Daniels & Associates is part of Array Corporation, the leading technology-enabled workforce solutions company whose mission is to fix how work is bought, sold and delivered to enable access to the American Dream.Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
