The ideal candidate must have 2 years in litigation support experience. Position responsibility includes all aspects of handling cases from inception to settlement and/or trial. Must have the ability to draft pleadings, answer and propound discovery, analyze and organize discovery and mandatory disclosure documents, communicate with clients and experts, schedule hearings, e-file documents, and prepare attorney for hearings, depositions, mediations and trials. Proficiency in Word, Excel and DPA is required.Seeking a highly motivated and positive individual who is professional, has good communication skills and is able to work independently.Hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 to 5:00.are seeking a highly motivated Legal Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide assistance to judges and lawyers, ensuring they are able to carry out their duties. You will communicate with clients, compile case materials, and conduct research. The ideal candidate is hardworking and detail-oriented.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with clients and witnesses Communicate with Court personnel and judicial assistantsPrepare case-specific documents, including pleadings and discoveryReview Discovery requests and responses and organize and inventory discovery documentsDraft pleadings, good faith letters and correspondence to clients, counsel and the CourtOrganize and file pleadings, filings and correspondenceEnsure that case-related documents are well organized and available for reviewAnswer phones and speak with potential and current clients, opposing law firms, and Court personnelMaintain and update documentation Provide general administrative support QualificationsPrevious experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role is preferredCertification or diploma as a Legal Assistant is preferredFamiliarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court systemStrong verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized with document management experienceExcellent research skillsComfortable Microsoft Office and case management softwareAbility to multitask and work well under pressure
