This influential role partners closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure best practice governance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in investment risk management. You’ll play a key part in shaping risk culture, driving innovation, and delivering insights that inform critical investment decisions. Join a collaborative team where your expertise will help safeguard the future of millions of Australians and contribute to a culture of excellence and accountability.Key Aspects Of The Role IncludeLeading the maintenance and enhancement of Investment Risk & Compliance frameworks across ART.Overseeing independent monitoring and supervision of investment risk and compliance activities.Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement compliance rules.Managing post-trade compliance operations and ensuring efficient, effective processes.Conducting operational due diligence assessments and delivering clear, actionable reports.Drafting, updating, and advising on investment risk and compliance policies and procedures.Identifying control gaps and driving change management across the three lines of defence.Contributing to divisional strategy and ensuring alignment with ART’s vision and member needs.Building strategic partnerships to drive business performance, innovation, and risk awareness.Role modelling ART’s cultural aspirations and fostering a strong, inclusive risk governance culture.This is a permanent opportunity based in Brisbane or Sydney.About YouIt goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:Strong understanding of investment risk management frameworks and compliance within superannuation or financial services.Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and overseeing risk governance processes.In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., APRA, ASIC) and industry standards.Proven ability to conduct operational due diligence and provide actionable recommendations.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.Experience drafting, updating, and advising on risk and compliance policies and procedures.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.Ability to identify control gaps and drive effective change management initiatives.High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to fostering a strong risk culture.Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, business, law, or a related field (desirable).About UsOur 2.4 million members trust us to take care of over $330 billion in retirement savings.
