As Our Manager, Program Office, You WillFulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Public Sector values.Provide guidance and support to ensure successful planning and execution of the program (and associated projects) that positively impact the Program's delivery of strategy.Oversee and manage the provision of the Program Delivery Office function and services to support the delivery of the large scale, complex National Fire Ant Eradication Program and projects in line with Queensland Government policy requirements.Apply a pragmatic approach to the adoption of program and project management methodologies, processes, themes and tools, including risk and change control management to ensure customer-driven outcomes and benefits are delivered.Initiate, influence and manage relationships with, and between, internal and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.Quality assure program and project information, particularly progress reports against agreed objectives.Ensure that programs and projects adhere to the agreed project and program management approaches and that they provide appropriate information to agreed targets of timelines and accuracy.Support Program/Project Managers to ensure desired outcomes and benefits are defined, measured and achieved.Provide coaching and training to develop program and project management capability and competence within the Program by leading, managing and directing multi-disciplinary program/project team/s.Provide expert advice and strategic input into the development of program and project outputs and capabilities to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with Department of Primary Industries policies, strategies and architecture.Ability to clarify complexities and articulate a compelling vision of change.Contribute to the Lessons Learnt process, outcomes and evidenced data to program continuous improvement.You may also have -Demonstrated ability to manage the provision of Program Office services to support a large scale, complex program and associated projects.Proven ability in providing expert advice on, and direction in appropriate use of program and project management methodologies, processes, themes and tools, preferably within Managing Benefits, Managing Successful Programs, PRINCE2 and Microsoft Project Online.The work we do is widespread and varied, but our people are united by an innate sense of purpose, and a passion to serve their fellow Queenslanders.
