The Managing Director will oversee the overall operations of the company, develop and execute strategic plans, and ensure continued growth and profitability. Responsibilities include making high-level decisions, leading and mentoring teams, building key stakeholder relationships, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. The Managing Director will serve as the primary representative of the organization, both internally and externally.RF&G Insurance Company Ltd.Location: Belize City, BelizeReports To: Board ChairmanSupervises: Senior Management TeamKey ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & People DevelopmentLead the development and execution of the Company’s strategic plan.Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.Mentor senior leaders and implement robust succession planning.Champion RF&G’s vision, mission, values, and brand integrity across all business units.Reinsurance Strategy & ManagementManage key relationships with reinsurers, brokers, and international partners.Lead treaty and facultative program design and negotiations aligned with the Company’s risk appetite.Oversee accurate reporting, claims recoveries, and reinsurance settlements.Utilize analytical reports and modelling to guide product development, pricing, and capital decisions.Enterprise Risk ManagementServe on the Board’s Risk Committee and guide organization-wide risk oversight.Continuously enhance RF&G’s ERM framework to meet evolving regulatory and market expectations.Monitor key risk indicators and leverage data analytics to identify emerging risks.Provide comprehensive risk reporting and ensure strong compliance practices.Financial LeadershipGuide the annual budgeting process and ensure financial discipline across all departments.Present financial results, projections, and KPIs to the Board with actionable insights.Ensure compliance with audit requirements, capital adequacy, solvency, and liquidity standards.Regional Oversight & Group CollaborationWork closely with M&C General Insurance in the Eastern Caribbean to strengthen group synergy.Coordinate shared services across HR, IT, Finance, Risk, and Reinsurance.Support regional expansion initiatives and maintain strong relationships with industry bodies and regulators.Represent RF&G at industry associations, including ORINCO, OSIPP, FIU, Central Bank, and international reinsurance forums.Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceMaster’s Degree or equivalent professional insurance qualification (ACII, CPCU, etc.).Minimum 10 years executive leadership experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.Proven experience managing multi-country insurance operations.Strong technical expertise in reinsurance, risk management, financial leadership, and corporate governance.Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare Board-level reports and influence stakeholders.Demonstrated commitment to digital innovation, data analytics, and AI-driven operational efficiencies.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex priorities and inspire high-performing teams.APPLY HERE> https://rfginsurancebelize.com/career-job-opportunities/
