An ideal candidate combines market insight with journalistic instincts, extracting compelling narratives from technical subject matter experts, and translating them into content that resonates with security practitioners. You will create thought leadership content, manage field events, drive customer advocacy programs, and optimize our digital presence. This role reports to our VP of Product Marketing.  Key Responsibilities Create weekly thought leadership content across written, video, and audio formats that reflect our perspective on security operations.  Partner with our security subject matter experts to develop compelling content that balances technical depth with accessibility. Identify and execute opportunities to be featured in third party blogs, podcasts and events to increase our brand exposure. Examples include securing speaking slots, guest articles, or podcast appearances. Manage field marketing programs from initial opportunity identification through sponsorship negotiations, paper submissions, and event execution. Build and optimize AEO, SEO and content strategy to improve audience credibility, search engine visibility and AI-generated recommendations. Drive customer marketing initiatives, including creation and distribution of customer testimonials, case studies, and success stories. Lead program management for Gartner Peer Insights review collection, working directly with customers to capture their experiences. Deploy AI tools thoughtfully in your workflow to streamline processes, using them where they add genuine value while maintaining authentic ideas and the human voice that defines our brand. This role is mostly remote, potentially requiring 20% travel for events.  Who You Are Self-motivated marketer seeking challenges in a competitive cybersecurity segment Journalist at heart with the ability to extract and structure compelling narratives from technical conversations Independent and able to deliver on goals with minimal oversight Pragmatic about tool selection for creative processes, including knowing when AI helps and when it creates slop Curious about both cybersecurity trends and the craft of storytelling Communicate effectively, with empathy, with your teammates Exemplary at getting things done through grit, organization, and smart execution Ability to work in an unstructured environment and ambiguity (flexible and willing to adapt with the needs of an early-stage product and team) Can give and receive critical feedback Can maintain focus and respond to interruptions based on priorities.   Required Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of experience in B2B technology marketing, preferably in cybersecurity or SaaS. Demonstrated ability to create compelling written content that engages technical audiences. Experience with modern marketing and collaboration tools including HubSpot, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Descript, Claude, Perplexity, YouTube, Webflow.  Experience managing field events and conference programs. Strong understanding of AEO and SEO principles, content optimization strategies. Proven track record building customer advocacy programs and capturing testimonials. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical subject matter experts. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment. Preferred Skills Experience with video and podcast production. Background in security operations or familiarity with SOC workflows. Understanding of Gartner processes and analyst relations. Writing or journalism background. What We Offer Opportunity to shape the narrative for a company transforming security operations Collaborative environment with industry experts in AI and cybersecurity Professional growth and learning opportunities Competitive salary and benefits package Remote-friendly work environment Chance to be part of a fast-growing company with strong backing and clear market traction Join Command Zero and tell the story of how the autonomous and AI-assisted SOC is transforming how organizations defend against cyber threats. Please read before submitting your application: Please provide links to 2-3 writing samples or content examples you're proud of as part of the screening process. Please DO NOT auto-apply using LLMs or send a completely AI-generated application.
