The Mechanical Designer II works on matters of basic to intermediate complexity under the responsible charge of the registered Mechanical Engineer. This role is expected to work closely with other architects, engineers, and designers, as well as other internal and external team members to ensure a coordinated, constructible, and complete design. Tasks include assisting with 3D modeling and design, conducting field investigations, performing red-to-black markup/review tasks, and producing discipline deliverables.ResponsibilitiesInterface with client and external partners preferredTravel as required for client development and project execution preferredWork on a variety of mechanical assignments supporting all phases of design including initial planning, feasibility, scope and concept development, detailed design, construction documentation, and construction administrationAssist with 3D modeling and design, conducting field investigations, performing red-to-black markup/review tasks, and producing discipline deliverablesQualificationsMinimum QualificationsApplicable Associate degree or technical trade school certification0 to 3 years of experience required including field experience in either a design or construction capacityAdditional QualificationsBasic proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD MEP is preferredBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office preferredExperience with implementing fundamental design aspects of HVAC, mechanical utility, and piping system design preferredUnderstanding of the applicable building codes, technical and design aspects of CRB’s market areas, and will be expected to work closely with architectural, engineering, and construction staff members to ensure assignments are completed accurately and efficientlyAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.CRB does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or agencies.
