The role offers stability, excellent development opportunities, and a forward-thinking work environment with genuine flexibility.Role- Mechanical Project EngineerSalary- £45,000 - £55,000 per annum DOELocation- Middlesborough Hours- 40 hours per weekKey responsibilities will be:Producing and maintaining engineering documentation including quality plans and technical specificationsManagement of technical queries in accordance with relevant processes and proceduresSupporting the process of contractor selection and contract placementTechnical reviews of contractor documents and drawingsCarrying out technical appraisals of project optionsPerforming feasibility studies, site surveys and liaison with designers and station engineering staff as requiredPrepare Engineering Changes and manage the preparation of supporting and affected documentsCommissioning documents and act as test team leader where appropriateSupporting the Project Manager and Construction Manager in managing the project and ensuring the work is carried out in a safe, timely and effective manner to its conclusionQualifications - ExternalTypically Chartered Engineer or HNCSite Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualificationCandidates that hold a formal project management qualification and are versed in modern project management techniques preferred but not essentialExperience of Identifying, implementing, and complying with applicable safety, environmental and quality standards, company procedures and policies and other relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.Knowledge and experience of delivering construction projects under CDMStrong communication and organisational skillsA background of working at Power Stations and Nuclear Licensed Sites is preferred but not essential and everyone working in our team will have a proven track record of working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards.
