For our client, the Swiss subsidiary of a rapidly expanding, dynamic, highly innovative biopharmaceutical company, we are searching for a:Medical Science Liaison (MSL) / Medical Affairs Manager – Rare Diseases Endocrinology - Swiss Subsidiary position (Ref. 2569)The MSL/Medical Affairs Manager will serve as a critical link between the company and the medical community, providing expert medical input and ensuring the accurate dissemination of scientific information. This pivotal role will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of medical strategy with business objectives and will drive all internal and external medical affairs activities including medical scientific liaison with key stakeholders (partially field based, > 50%).Your main tasksAct as Medical Liaison in the field to clients (Specialists and KOLs, practice and clinic) in all areas of SwitzerlandDevelopment of the Swiss medical affairs strategy in alignment with local and corporate goals and implement relevant medical tacticsBuild strong relationships and collaborate cross functionally with internal colleagues (e.g. Market Access, Marketing, Sales, PV, Regulatory) by providing medical expertise and to ensure alignment on strategic decisionCollaborate with regional Medical Affairs colleagues to support regional deliverables (e.g., scientific support, internal/external presentations)Monitor competitive activities and emerging trends within relevant therapeutic areasProvide medical training for commercialSupport clinical trial operations to ensure success with planned and ongoing clinical trials to include identifying, supporting, and regularly engaging clinical trial investigators, and sitesExternal engagement & insights (50% field based, covering all of Switzerland)Develop and maintain a KOL engagement plan that fosters collaborative relationships in SwitzerlandProvide medical/scientific presentations to both internal and external audiencesDrive patient support programsProvide scientific support at medical congresses such as participation in clinical data presentations, scientific exchange at the medical affairs booth, and internal or external meetingsEngage with external researchers as a primary contact for investigator-initiated trials (IITs)Ensure successful patient access initiatives by managing medical access programs and collaborating on regulatory and market access dossierYour profileAdvanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) in a relevant scientific fieldExperience as Medical Science Liaison (MSL) and Medical Manager in a Swiss subsidiary of a smaller pharmaceutical companyEndocrinology, pediatric endocrinology and/or rare disease experience preferredAbility to make decisions which have a significant impact on the department’s credibility, operations, and servicesStrong oral and written communication skills with strong scientific acumen with the ability to communicate complex information effectivelyExcellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills and collaborates with a wide range of people to achieve resultsEntrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize one’s own work scheduleMust be outgoing and appreciate the opportunity to interact with healthcare providers and researchersAbility to create materials such as reports and presentations and to present/speak to both internal and external groupsFluent German, both written and verbal; excellent English; French and/or Italian a plusSusanne Rietiker is looking forward to receiving your application documents via our job portal (CV, diploma, reference letters; no motivational letter necessary).Full discretion is guaranteed and we will gladly answer any additional questions.
