Job Description

We’re hiring a Systems and Process Specialist for one of our clients in the pharmaceutical industry. In this role, you’ll configure IT applications and optimize processes for Analytics within, driving strategic project implementation and ensuring seamless integration in a GxP-compliant environment. You’ll lead global projects, assess emerging technologies, and design data-driven solutions to enhance business processes.General informationLocation: Basel (On-Site)Start: ASAP Duration: 12 monthsWorkload: 100%Language: Fluent in English Main activitiesConfigure and optimize key IT applications, conduct gap assessments, and improve system design for better user experience.Manage system configuration and master data, driving global standardization and harmonization across the department.Lead projects and change initiatives for key applications, including requirements, testing, validation, and compliance with GxP standards.Collaborate with process owners, IT, and governance boards; perform risk assessments, RCA, and impact analysis for changes.Oversee lifecycle management of applications and act as a subject matter expert, providing training, guidance, and mentorship to users and team members.BackgroundBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or Information Technology (e.g., Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Development, IT); Ph.D. or equivalent is a plus.Minimum 5 years of experience in a GMP environment with strong knowledge of regulatory and quality principles in drug development.Hands-on experience with IT systems and data tools (e.g., eLN, GLIMS, SAP) and their integration; familiarity with mobile IT solutions (smartphones, tablets).Working knowledge of pharmaceutical research and technical development processes.Strong coaching skills.
