Onboarding and Operations Manager Our client is looking to hire their first Operations & Onboarding Manager to build and run the operational side of their growing payments business. They work within merchant services and payment processing, so they need someone who already understands how merchant onboarding works and can take full ownership of the process from start to finish. This is a hands-on role where you will set up the entire onboarding function and ensure merchants are brought live smoothly and efficiently.ResponsibilitiesManaging the full merchant onboarding process from contract stage through KYC, integration, testing and go-liveWorking closely with sales, compliance, finance and technical teams to move merchants through each onboarding stageSetting up processes, workflows and documentation for all operational activityMonitoring onboarding KPIs and identifying where improvements can be madeActing as the main point of contact for any merchant operational issues or escalationsLiaising with external partners such as acquiring banks, gateway providers and terminal suppliersEnsuring merchants receive a smooth, professional onboarding experienceBuilding out the operations function as the business continues to growRequirementsExperience within merchant services / payments / acquiring / gateway onboarding is essentialStrong understanding of merchant acquisitions, payment flows and compliance requirementsExcellent organisational and process-driven approachAbility to coordinate across multiple teams and manage timelinesConfident communicator with a customer-focused mindsetComfortable in a fast-paced, growing business and able to set things up from scratchAnalytical, proactive and able to take ownership of the full operations functionSalary, Hours & LocationSalary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum + Commission Hours: Monday – Friday, full-timeLocation: Central London (hybrid working available)
