Overall Purpose of the JobThe Operations Support Engineer provides technical support to Expro’ Operations and plays a key role in minimizing downtime, enhancing productivity, and driving operational excellence to support the organization's strategic goals.Key Activities And Accountabilities Liaise with operational supervisors with regard to activity levels and demands for operational equipment to ensure allocated resources can be in place. Participate and attend regular meetings to discuss operational base issues and share updates on latest company policies, structure, future plans, technologies and safety related topics. Ensure that all incidents are properly recorded and reported and that an investigation is carried out to establish and rectify root causes. Establish that all equipment, plant and substances used are suitable for the task and are kept in good working condition; this includes the regular maintenance and servicing of equipment. Actively adhere to the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies, procedures and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained and exposure to liability or risk to Expro’s reputation is minimised. If necessary, report possible violations or conflicts of interest. Actively adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes and systems. Take an active part in quality improvement processes. Identify and report any deficiencies to supervisor and obtain authorisation for any deviations from standard procedures. Plan, document, and direct the application, modification, and testing of equipment, machines, and processes to meet Frank’s or client specified requirements, especially deepwater applications. Applications Engineer is involved from tender, to rig survey, technical proposal / presentation, rig installation, development, installation and finally initial execution. Provide technical support to the Sales, Operations, Contracts, Technical Support, and Business Development departments. Provide continuous ongoing support to the various operational and business development requests from operations and/or customer driven request. Generate written equipment running procedures as well as operational sequence drawings. Design and modification of various equipment required for job specific applications. Serve as a direct point of contact to operations to help complete all the necessary orders and requests for certain specialized equipment sub-assemblies. Job Knowledge And Qualifications Engineering Qualification from the University of Guyana or its equivalent. Computer skills (MS office, AutoCAD desirable) 3 to 5 years in a similar capacity. Good Communication Skills in the English language using both the written and spoken word. Problem Solving Skills.
