Location: Cheras CampusJob OverviewUCSI Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Music Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will deliver inspiring music lessons, nurture students’ musical abilities, and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for music through engaging instruction in performance, theory, and creativity.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver interactive and engaging music lessons on a part-time schedule, covering music theory, instrumental practice, and vocal techniques.Teach students to play a variety of musical instruments and enhance their listening, composing, and performance skills.Encourage creativity through activities such as songwriting, improvisation, and music composition.Assist in organizing and preparing students for school concerts, recitals, and music-related events.Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that inspires students’ confidence and love for music.Assess student progress through practical assessments, performances, and reports while providing constructive feedback.Incorporate technology and digital tools into music lessons where appropriate.Collaborate with other teachers and departments to enrich the school’s music curriculum and extracurricular programs.Participate in selected school activities, such as cultural events and performances, as part of the music program.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent).Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in music education.Proficiency in teaching various musical instruments (e.g., piano, guitar, violin) and vocal training.Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.Experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum (preferred but not mandatory).Passion for music education, performance, and inspiring student creativity.BenefitsCompetitive remuneration based on qualifications and teaching hours.Opportunities for professional growth and training.Supportive, multicultural, and collaborative school environment.Potential for expanded teaching hours or career advancement within the school network.Job Type: Part-TimeAbout UCSI International School Sdn BhdThe UCSI Schools Group has 3 campuses in Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur Campus, Subang Jaya Campus and Springhill Campus.
