Job Description

The role of Partnerships Manager is agile, flexible, and adaptable, sat within a team on the forefront of shipping’s engagement and relationships with internal and external customers, focusing on a wider variety of projects, including the marine transition to Net Zero.The Partnerships Manager is a member of the Shipping Projects & Partnerships team and the only representative based in Singapore. The role involves leading projects across various initiatives within ST&S and the wider bp organization, including planning, coordination, and providing mentorship to support decision-making. It also includes building and maintaining relationships across teams and with external parties, developing familiarity with the Asia Pacific region and regulatory environment, and supplying to regional industry groups and maritime decarbonization efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and handle relationships within the organization and third-party partners.Document all updates related to partner interactions in the central system.Enable greater integration within ST&S through consistent F2F interactions with regional team contacts.Coordinate and structure work request from internal partners, develop SLAs if required.Handle, review SLAs and ensure cost recoveries are done promptly.Build enduring partnerships through strong interpersonal rapport with leading industry partners.Compose, update and review briefing notes for external partner meetings with senior executives.Composing and reviewing economic models for regional cases when required.Accountable for leading Shipping’s input into bp’s investment governance process, and for coordinating and delivering support to ST&S trading teams and the wider bp organization.Provide tailored project management, strategic direction and advice to the regional shipping teams.Operational management of internal ship holding companies.Represent bp in various industry coalitions & decarbonization organizations.QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in business management or relatedUnderstanding / experience of the shipping industry and marine solutionsProject management experienceEconomic modelling / financial experienceCommercial and / or technical marine experienceAbility to work independently as well as efficiently and with a wide range of partnersStrong communication and relationship management skillsGood-to-havesGood technical skills, specifically with Excel and Power BIUnderstanding of charter parties / cargo operationsExperience with Ammonia, NGLs, and LNGPublic speaking experienceInterest to participate in the regional Incident Management Team (IMT)
