We value individuals who live our core values and help foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging.What are your responsibilities?Process biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including pay, benefits, deductions, reimbursements, and adjustments.Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with provincial, state, and federal regulations in both Canada and the U.S.Process employee life-cycle updates—including new hires, terminations, and pay changes—in a timely and accurate manner.Respond to payroll inquiries, ensuring clear communication and attention to detail when resolving issues.Prepare payroll reconciliations and assist with generating scheduled and ad-hoc reports.Support year-end activities, including preparation of T4s, T4As, W2s, T2200s, and other required forms.Assist with payroll-related remittances (e.g., EHT, WCB) and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.Maintain adherence to internal payroll processes, policies, and external regulations.Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners across multiple time zones.Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, ensuring deadlines are met for diverse internal clients.Provide clear and helpful communication to internal stakeholders regarding data, reports, and deliverables.Participate in process improvements and apply feedback to support continuous learning and development.What type of person should I be? 2–4 years of experience in payroll or a related financial role.Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Canadian Payroll Association Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification.Working knowledge of provincial and federal payroll regulations in both Canada and the U.S.Experience with accounting or payroll software systems (UKG experience is an asset).Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate level or higher).Annual Salary Range: 55,000 to 65,000 CADWe are ChangeMakersChangeMakers is a leading independent agency specializing in building purpose-driven brands and strategies that make a meaningful impact.
