Senior Financial Analyst

Our client, a leading organization in the consumer goods sector, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing Finance team. This is a newly created position driven by business expansion and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to financial insights, operational performance, and strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, consumer-driven environment.Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and monthly performance reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, excellent business partnering skills, and experience working in retail, CPG, or other high-volume, fast-moving industries.Key Responsibilities:Lead and support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.Develop and maintain financial models, KPI dashboards, and analytical tools.Prepare and analyze monthly P&L results, including variance analysis and performance commentary.Partner with cross-functional teams: Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing, to provide insights that guide business decisions.Support SOX compliance, including documentation and testing where required.Contribute to enhancements in financial systems and reporting tools, including Power BI and D365.Participate in monthly close activities and preparation of management reporting packages.Support ad hoc analyses, scenario modelling, and special projects to drive efficiency and profitability.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.3–5+ years of financial analysis experience, ideally in retail, CPG, wholesale, or consumer products.Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial statements, and FP&A processes.Advanced Excel skills; exposure to macros is an asset but not required.Experience with Power BI, D365, or similar ERP/reporting systems is preferred.Strong communication skills with the ability to present clear, concise insights.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.What's in it for you:Competitive annual bonus.Comprehensive benefits package.RRSP matching.
