Job Description

Key Responsibilities:The Planning Manager oversees the planning department and ensures all project schedules and strategies are aligned with organizational goals. They manage high-level scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and client reporting.Project Scheduling & PlanningDevelop and manage the master schedule for all ongoing projects.Lead strategic planning and resource forecasting.Oversee the preparation of the project contractual critical path project schedule including breakdown structure for submission and approval based on contract documents.Oversee the preparation of regular updates using all information received from PM, PCM, subcontractors, and suppliers.Oversee the preparation and tracking of schedule of resources (plant and manpower) to meet activities milestones (Histograms).Oversee the preparation and regular updates, and tracking of material schedules (submission, approval, order, delivery) in accordance with contract schedule ensuring timely availability of materials to minimize storage requirements whilst preventing negative schedule impact and produces related reports to the Head of Planning.Risk Management & ComplianceProvide expert advice on schedule risk, recovery, and mitigation.Ensure programmes compliance with Planning Department SOP and contract requirements.Ensure compliance with ACC Planning Department SOP.Monitoring, Reporting & CommunicationOversee project baselines progress monitoring & reporting.Review and approve all Subcontractors baseline programmes, updates, and reports.Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and submit them to the client/consultant/Management.Monitor the progress of works against the contract schedule, advise on schedule slippage and oversee the preparation of recovery plans.Oversee the production of internal and external reports as directed. (Project budget statements, cash flow etc.)Liaise with clients, contractors, and senior management on planning matters.Team Leadership & MeetingsManage and mentor a team of planning engineers.Attend site meetings as required.Required Qualifications & Competencies:Bachelor's degree – Civil / Architecture Engineering.15+ years of experience in planning roles on complex projects.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.Extensive experience in claims, EOT analysis, and contractual terms.Extensive experience in schedule risk, recovery, and mitigation.Professional attitude and confidenceStrong ability to communicate with stakeholder managementAnalytical thinking, problem-solving and decision-makingAbility to lead a team and elevate productivity percentageCommunication skills and presentation abilityProficiency in project management software, Primavera P6 and advanced Excel, (Power BI preferred).Proficiency in English language (writing and speaking)
