PMO Transformation Consultant

Position: PMO Transformation ConsultantLocation: REMOTE within US - CST or EST preferredDuration: 24-month contract (extensions/permanent possible)Pay Rate: $80-100/hour (depending on experience)Must Haves:5-10+ years of experience within project/program management5+ additional years of experience establishing or transforming a Project Management Office (PMO)Related Project Management certification(s) (PMP, PgMP, etc.)Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)Strong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to influence at all levels of the organizationPlusses:Consulting background with top-tier firms (KPMG, PCG, EY, Deloitte, etc.)Day-to-Day:We are seeking an experienced leader to build and implement a Project Management Office (PMO) from the ground up. This role will be responsible for defining the PMO strategy, establishing governance frameworks, and ensuring consistent project management standards across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong consulting background with firms such as KPMG, PCG, EY, or similar, and hold a PMP or equivalent certification.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and launch a PMO aligned with organizational goals.Define PMO structure, processes, and governance models.Establish, maintain, and continuously evolve project management standards, methodologies, and best practices.Implement tools and templates to ensure consistency and efficiency.Collaborate with executive leadership and high-level stakeholders to align PMO objectives with strategic priorities.Serve as a trusted advisor on project governance and delivery.Develop KPIs and reporting mechanisms to measure project success and PMO effectiveness.Provide regular updates to senior leadership on portfolio health.Mentor and train project managers and teams on PMO standards and practices.Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.IG Consultants: While on contract, you will be an Insight Global employee working for a particular company/end client on W2.Pay Day: You will be paid out each Friday and one week in arrears. This means you will receive payment for this week’s hours next Friday.Holidays/Time Off: While a consultant through Insight Global, the hours you work are they hours you will be paid.
