Power BI Technical Consultant

ContextOur client, a major public utility organization based in Brussels, is seeking a Technical BI Consultant to lead the implementation and maintenance of advanced reporting and dashboarding solutions.The consultant will work primarily with Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data services, and SAP data sources to develop integrated financial, HR, and regulatory reporting. This long-term mission will ensure the robustness, compliance, and reliability of the client’s BI ecosystem, in alignment with GDPR, ISO27001, and NIS2 standards.ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain integrated reports, dashboards, and alerting systems using MS Power BI.Design and manage ETL pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, and data publication processes.Develop internal financial reporting based on SAP ECC6 and other sources.Deliver customer service and HR-related reporting, including absenteeism and workplace incident dashboards.Produce annual CSRD and Taxonomy reports and ensure regulatory reporting to Brugel.Oversee the operational maintenance and run activities of the Power BI environment.Guarantee compliance with GDPR, ISO27001, and NIS2 throughout all BI activities.Technical skillsMust haveProven experience with Power BI, Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and Data Warehouse.Advanced skills in ETL processes and SQL (including partitioning).Solid experience with SAP ECC and SAP S4Hana (ISU) integration.Expertise in multidimensional modelling.Fluency in English, French, and Dutch (full professional proficiency).Ability to work on-site in Brussels three days per week (non-consecutive possible).Should haveExperience in utilities sector reporting or similar regulated environments.Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and M365 architecture.Understanding of regulatory and sustainability reporting (CSRD & Taxonomy).Familiarity with data integration across heterogeneous technologies (Software AG, Windev, etc.).Nice to haveMicrosoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals certification.Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals certification.Prior experience maintaining BI systems in hybrid cloud environments.Who we areCommunity Consulting goes beyond traditional consulting; it’s all about fostering connections in an atmosphere of trust and confidence.Transparency & Honesty : We say things as they are.
