The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Principal Education Officer to join the Sciences Learning Area. The role of the Principal Education Officer is to lead and develop initiatives to assist and support teachers in their implementation of curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment programs. The Principal Education Officer also leads teams of casual writers and assessors to develop syllabuses and resources, quality assure school-devised assessments and school judgments, and develop and mark external assessments. What you will do In The Principal Education Officer Role, You Willlead teams of casual writers and assessors to support the development of curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment products and serviceslead teams of casual writers and assessors to quality assure school-devised assessments and school judgments and to develop and mark external assessmentswork collaboratively with Principal Project Officers and Activity Managers to ensure alignment of products and services with whole of organisation directions, policies and proceduresrevise and redevelop curriculum products and resources including senior syllabuses and guidelineslead the development of the annual subject report(s)provide timely and high-quality client focussed assistance and support to schools, teachers and other key stakeholdersprovide expert advice to Learning Area Managers and Directors on issues related to the implementation of senior curriculum and assessmentlead forums, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
