Principal Mechanical Engineer

The OpportunityYou will manage the delivery of mechanical engineering solutions across projects of varying complexity and scale. This includes responsibility for design leadership, client engagement, commercial performance and supporting the growth and capability of the regional engineering team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical design delivery across multi-disciplinary projectsBuild and maintain strong client relationships, supporting repeat workDefine project briefs and oversee technical and commercial deliveryRepresent mechanical engineering at client and design team meetingsLead larger project schemes and coordinate with all relevant disciplinesSupport the development and performance of local engineering teamsManage workloads, delegate tasks, review work and maintain delivery qualityMonitor project expenditure and report on cost, resources and progressEnsure technical accuracy, compliance and risk management processes are followedWhat You NeedProven mechanical engineering experience across complex building projectsStrong understanding of HVAC and broader mechanical building servicesExperience within multi-disciplinary consultancy environmentsProficiency with relevant software including Revit and AutoCADStrong communication skills with clients, contractors and design teamsKnowledge of applicable British Standards and technical regulationsAbility to assess and integrate input from related disciplines such as acoustics, fire engineering and modellingA collaborative, open-minded, and professional approachSkills: autocad,design,projects
