Principal Program Officer (Governance & Digital Enablement) This major infrastructure division is delivering a significant uplift in information governance, digital capability, and program oversight. The newly established governance and enablement function requires an experienced Principal Program Officer to help embed strong routines, mature governance practices, and support executive decision-making across a complex digital and transformation environment. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality program governance, reporting and executive support, while maintaining structure, operating rhythms and oversight across a multi-stream digital portfolio. You will work closely with senior leaders, program teams, ICT stakeholders and technical SMEs to ensure information is accurate, risks are visible, reporting is consistent, and governance forums operate effectively. This role is critical in shaping discipline, clarity and coordination across both BAU and transformation activities. Key ResponsibilitiesProduce high-quality executive artefacts including briefings, analysis, reports and program presentations for senior leaders.Lead the operating rhythm for the directorate—managing forward calendars, planning cycles, meeting schedules and priority tracking.Oversee governance for program forums, ensuring agendas, minutes, action registers and RAID logs are accurate and reflect program priorities.Review and quality-assure reporting inputs from workstreams, ensuring consistency, accuracy and alignment with divisional priorities.Coordinate the development of program and directorate board packs, ensuring they highlight key risks, dependencies and decision points.Support workforce activities including onboarding, induction, contractor coordination and workforce planning.Build and maintain strong relationships across ICT, ISD and key program stakeholders to drive alignment and clarity.Provide proactive visibility of risks, constraints and competing deadlines to support informed prioritisation and escalation.Support change management and engagement related to digital and transformation initiatives, shaping communication materials as required.Operate confidently as a senior member of a mixed-skill team, exercising sound judgement and staying calm under pressure.About You You are highly organised, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines. You bring strong stakeholder skills, excellent written communication, and the ability to simplify complex program information for executive consumption. Your background in governance, digital, ICT or transformation environments enables you to anticipate issues, manage risks and drive clarity across a multi-stream portfolio. You maintain composure under pressure and foster strong, collaborative working relationships. Requirements of the Role EssentialExperience in program governance, executive support or coordination within a complex organisation.Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare senior-level documentation.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret complex program data.Experience leading governance practices including RAID logs, reporting frameworks and structured oversight.Experience supporting governance forums or similar structured review mechanisms.High proficiency using Microsoft 365 and enterprise records management systems.Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate, timely outputs.Highly DesirableExperience in digital transformation, ICT governance, or information-related environments.Experience in agile or multi-stream program environments.Qualifications in business administration, project management, or equivalent.Prosci or equivalent change management certification.Foundation-level program/project certifications (e.g., AgilePM) beneficial.To apply please email Dalton.Dalley@hudson.com quoting REF #247615.
