This role offers full exposure to the private equity lifecycle — from sourcing and diligence to operational transformation and value creation.  The ideal candidate is analytical, resourceful, and passionate about leveraging technology to drive business outcomes. You will be deeply involved in evaluating investments, supporting digital transformation, and helping scale Southeast Asia’s next generation of industry champions.  Key Responsibilities  Conduct in-depth industry research into Southeast Asia’s mid-market companies with a focus on sectors poised for digital transformation, examining emerging operational and technological trends. Build robust financial models, including transformation scenarios and valuation sensitivity analyses.  Support deal sourcing and screening, identifying companies aligned with our thesis.  Prepare institutional-grade investment memoranda, LP decks, and strategic materials.  Assist in commercial due diligence, including market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and customer interviews.  Collaborate with operating partners to design and implement digital transformation roadmaps that drive tangible business impact.  Ideal Candidate  Strong academic track record with First Class Honours in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.  Previous experience in private equity or management consulting is highly preferred.  Exposure to buyout investing, operational improvement, or digital strategy is a strong plus.  Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills, with commercial intuition.  Passion for technology-driven business transformation and SME growth.  Comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with high ownership.  Exceptional written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.   Please email your CV and a brief note on your background and transformation experience to contact@istanapartners.com, including your availability from December 2025 through June 2026.
