Process Engineer

Process Engineer needed for Memphis area specialty chemical company. You will be responsible for improving operational performance and achieving business objectives.You will work toward continuous improvement of quality production, keeping in mind the goals of safety, industrial hygiene, efficiency, cost, and customer service.Will evaluate data of a technical chemical engineering nature, prepare technical presentations, and make recommendations for production, safety, or facility improvement.Will work as a project leader on some projects to ensure safe completion within budget and time, minimizing impact on production.Will develop key performance indicators for production. Use methods like lean manufacturing, Six Sigma to ensure excellence.RequirementsBS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related, plus at least three years of process engineering experience in a chemicals manufacturing environment.Working knowledge and commitment to Environmental Health and Safety.Experience in managing minor DCS (Delta V and APACS) programming and/or CHEMCAD or similar process modeling.Possess an in-depth understanding of chemical plant processes, equipment, instrumentation.
