Roles & Responsibilities:Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business goals for the FMCG food division.Forecast material requirements based on sales trends, production plans, and seasonal demand.Source, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers, manufacturers, and co-packers for food products.Conduct regular supplier visits to assess quality standards, capacity, compliance, and pricing.Lead negotiations for pricing, contracts, payment terms, and long-term supplier agreements.Build and maintain a strong vendor network with solid industry contacts.Oversee end-to-end purchasing operations including RFQs, POs, approvals, and delivery tracking.Ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to support operations.Resolve supply issues, shortages, and quality deviations to avoid operational delays.Analyse purchasing data, consumption trends, lead times, and costing for better decision-making.Drive cost-saving initiatives through alternate sourcing, vendor consolidation, and bulk negotiations.Monitor procurement budgets, costing sheets, and landed costs to ensure profitability.Work closely with finance for vendor payments, reconciliations, and documentation.Lead and mentor the procurement team; allocate tasks and review performance.Ensure procurement SOPs, compliance norms, and documentation standards are followed.Coordinate with production, QC, warehouse, supply chain, and sales teams for smooth operations.Ensure all purchases comply with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, and other food safety/regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate vendor contracts, certifications, agreements, and audit records.Track vendor performance and conduct periodic reviews to maintain high-quality supply.Prepare weekly/monthly procurement reports, dashboards, and management updates.Maintain up-to-date procurement data through ERP/CRM systems.
