Job Title: Product OwnerReports To: Manager, TechnologyDepartment: Product ManagementLocation: Ireland (Remote)Hours of Work: 37.5 hours weeklyJob OverviewBe part of building a world-class product organization. Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of assigned product line within transforming assessment/achievement measurement business. Develop and maintain product roadmaps based on customer needs through research, user forums, advisory boards, and other methods needed to obtain market information. Build the product of the future while staying ahead of the competition.Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork with Product Manager to strategize and execute delightful, profitable client and user experiencesDemonstrate and champion user-centred design principles, including developing user personas, journey maps / workflows.Leverage both educational and non-educational product experiences to resolve a wide range of issues in creative, scalable ways.Work closely with the wider product team to ensure a consistent user experience within the application.Develop and share a deep understanding of the user stories and workflows to be developed, to empower the design and development teams to actively participate in the solution.Partner closely with technology and design teams to bring the product vision to life, delivering features in a lean, iterative, and nimble way.Lead grooming activities within an Agile delivery team, specifically defining and writing user stories and acceptance criteria for platform and product enhancementsDrive day-to-day prioritization of work; translate product intent to partner teams and bring in other product team members as appropriateExhibit a bias to action and a proven track record of delivering minimally viable products and business models to market at rapid speedMeet customer needs while maintaining technical integrityDemonstrate a high level of intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity.Possess a blend of strategic and tactical thinking, creative and analytic reasoningCreate and deliver clear and compelling communicationsServe as an evangelist for the product, including delivering demonstrations and other presentations in internal sessions and to end users or potential clients.Liaise with the Product Line Marketing to ensure proper advertisement and positioning of new products.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Essential CriteriaBachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business/Product Analyst, Product Marketing, or User-Centred Design RolesStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work as well as the work of your team(s)Comfortable with the tools used to manager backlog, user stories, etc. (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence). Some understanding of software development processes.
