Our Manufacturing Excellence team help us improve the efficiency, quality and safety of our manufacturing operations, and our Logistics Excellence team develop new and innovative ways to distribute our products to customers.About The RoleWe're on the lookout for a dedicated Production Manager who can inspire positive change and drive efficiency in our manufacturing operations. You will be at the forefront of managing and leading a vibrant team, transforming our large-scale production processes. Your role isn't just to manage – it's to innovate, mentor, and excel. Manage the strategic direction of the manufacturing function and maximise the effectiveness of the day to day operational performance. There is also a clear responsibility for the ongoing development and career planning for employees within the manufacturing function.The nature of demands from the market place in conjunction with NPD make this an action-oriented position, with flexibility to re-schedule production capacity or resources to meet customer needs effectively. None of this happens at the cost of quality or regulatory / licence requirement.The facility is responsible for delivering branded products, including multiple Power Brands, to global markets, including the provision of third-party products which increase complexity due to the specialist requirements of the Healthcare sector. The level of decision making within this role will have a significant impact on financial performance on the site and potentially the region. Varied levels of complexity require the incumbent of this position to have a breadth and depth of experience both on a strategic and a practical level. If you're passionate about leading progressive operations and taking charge of a dynamic team, we want to hear from you.Your responsibilitiesProvides a safe working environment for all employees and contractors by facilitating the HSE improvement plan for the site, removing blockages and promoting safe working solutions.Demonstrable experience in managing large manufacturing operations, with a focus on driving performance and efficiency.Establishes a continuous improvement culture within manufacturing operations to sustain improvement gains in OEE, waste, cost, quality and customer service targets.Ensures the manufacturing management team achieve all quality standards in line with global compliance.Drives budgetary control through manufacturing efficiencies which provide competitive advantage.Continually assesses factory performance targetSeeks out and provides opportunities for the development of the manufacturing teams with particular emphasis on succession planning and building a pipeline of talent.Creates an engaging environment where the team are energised to realise their full potential, challenge the status quo and improve working relationships.Ensure compliance on manufacturing execution systems Effective communicator with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make swift decisions.The experience we're looking forBA/BSc/BEng in any degree discipline.2-6 years’ experience in a similar roleEducated to a high standard with successful technical/engineering/operational experience gained in FMCG or Pharmaceutical. We want someone who has the hunger and desire to take our business to the next level.
