Title: Program Manager, HousingReports to: Director of ProgramsStatus: Full Time: SalariedAs the Program Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of case management for key programs, including Rapid Re-Housing, Permanent Supportive Housing, the Boulevard Shelter, and Eviction Prevention. This role involves coordinating a comprehensive system of social services, ensuring quality assurance and safety, managing information, fostering donor and public relations, and collaborating with partner agencies.Working closely with the Director, you will help develop and implement strategies to expand our services. The ideal candidate thrives in complex operational settings, effectively utilizes automation and technical solutions, and excels at streamlining processes. They will play a vital role in bridging staff teams and stakeholders, using their expertise to drive organizational initiatives and uphold the best practices of serving families experiencing housing instability.Who We AreNicholas House’s mission is to help families who are experiencing homelessness and support them through their crisis. Nicholas House helps families who are struggling to pay rent move into affordable homes, get themselves to work and their children off to school, and ultimately lift themselves up and out of poverty and toward a better life.What You’ll DoProgram Administration:Administer and manage funding contracts, ensuring timely submission of reports.Monitor rosters, databases, and logs to ensure compliance with contracts, guidelines, and in-house reporting processes.Provide input into the development of the program budget; ensure the program operates within budget by reviewing financial reports and approving invoices.Prepare regular statistical reports on program outcomes.Staff Supervision and Development:Supervise case management staff and monitor staff performance, conduct evaluations, and ensure ongoing training and development.Participate in the hiring process for department staff.Provide back-up support to staff for case management staff when needed and serve as back up support for any emergency situations with families in our shelter.Coordinate and support interns and volunteers in their roles, especially with the Circles of Support program.Client Services and Case Management:Supervise the flow of referrals, intakes, and discharges, ensuring accessibility and welcoming of all clients.Provide back-up support to direct service staff for intake, case management, documentation, and transportation needs. Facilitate and attend client case conferences to monitor progress and ensure adequate support levels.Intervene in and de-escalate crises, managing client grievances and complaints effectively.Community Engagement and Partnerships:Develop and maintain relationships with social service providers to enhance client services.Network with partner agencies, community groups, and civic organizations.Represent the agency at community events and meetings to advocate for the program’s mission and goals.Program Quality and Improvement:Work with the Director and executive leadership to establish a program vision aligned with the agency’s mission and community needs.Proactively identify opportunities to improve program quality and effectiveness.General Duties:Attend and participate in agency meetings, trainings, and community engagements.Remain on-call outside of normal working hours for client emergencies.Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field, requiredCurrently licensed by the State of Georgia as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor2+ years of experience working in a Social Services or nonprofit setting, requiredAbility to establish and maintain professional boundaries with clientsAbility to identify problems, and research and recommend resolutionsExcellent communication skills, particularly listening, mediation, and writing skillsPossess strong organizational skills with ability to meet a demanding workloadAbility to anticipate and react calmly to emergency situationsKnowledge of Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorder treatmentSensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of population servedDemonstrated experience managing multiple deadlines and working effectively under pressure, using independent judgment to produce quality work under time constraintsDemonstrated experience working with a collaborative teamWorking Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Ability to communicate effectively among a diverse workforce population and maintain sound working relations with all levels within the organizationWork with spirit of enthusiasm, teamwork, cooperation and a sense of urgencyMaintain a high degree of confidentiality over all matters in the course of business operations including client and employee informationAbility to multi-task in an efficient, thorough, and prioritized mannerAbility to work quickly, accurately and independentlyAbility to anticipate needs, prioritize work and solve problemsWho You Are & Keys to Success (the must-haves):Nicholas House is seeking someone who is creative and grounded in solid understanding of case management principles.
