Job Description

We’re looking for a Project Accountant to drive the end-to-end financial planning, control, and performance management of projects by steering robust budgeting, cost analysis, revenue tracking, and financial reporting to ensure profitability, compliance, and strategic decision-making across the organization.Primary FunctionResponsible for financial health of projects by developing and controlling budgets, tracking costs, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with project terms. Conduct cost analysis, analyze financial data, liaising with project managers on financial matters, managing expenses and invoices, and communicating project profitability to senior management to support informed decision-making and project success. Ensure financial control on spend within budget and provide insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing and cost reduction. Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with project managers to monitor and analyze project costs and ensure no cost slippage.Track all project revenues and costs against approved business cases.Ensure control of budget spend in relation to Direct Costs, Opex, Capex and Headcount.Analyze costs by each vendor and line of business to ensure proper costs are booked.Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections.Analyze invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at the expected cost.Ensure necessary accruals are booked every month to show correct profitability.Enhance and manage the corporate cash flow forecasting process.Ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, maintaining proper cash levels, preparing bank reconciliations, and overseeing the development of internal controls.Support on raising PRs in system to ensure all costs are booked.Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting measures.Regular management reporting to give an overview of business and financial performance. Highlight trends, key actions, and strategic implications.Support the annual budgeting exercise. Deliver insight and analysis which helps the business to achieve strategic goals and deliver the annual budget.Track performance against key targets and outcomes and produce regular corporate level management information to all senior management.Key Performance IndicatorsTimeliness and accuracy of projects P&L with full visibility of each vertical.Achieve gross profit and net profit targets through cost control.Accurate cashflow forecast and management.Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills Minimum 3-5 years’ experience preferably in ICT/ construction sector.Bachelor’s in accounting / Finance degree. Masters or MBA in Finance, CA, ACCA, CMA preferred.Hands-on knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP preferably with implementation experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint applications preferred.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and a strong team player.Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.Critical, analytical, and creative thinking to identify and solve problems.
